Where does the waste go?
The CatGenie Whoosh scoops and liquefies the waste for safe and easy disposal down the laundry drain or toilet. The SaniSolution and water-soluble litter are tested and proven safe for your plumbing and septic/sewer systems.
Can I use any type of cat litter?
In the CatGenie Whoosh, use only the CatGenie Whoosh Super Clumping Litter, or other recommended and plumbing-safe Tofu or Cassava-based litters that have been tested to work with the GenieHand and are water-soluble.
Will my cat use it?
Most cats take to a CatGenie system quickly and easily, but others may need some extra support. Follow the steps laid out in our Cat Acclimation Guide, and nearly all cats transition successfully.
Is it septic safe?
Yes! The CatGenie Whoosh uses Tofu litter made from soybean pulp that is safe for cats, 99% dust free and dissolves in water. Once scooped by the CatGenie all clumps and solid waste are liquified and safely flushed.
What is the Difference between the CatGenie Whoosh & the CatGenie A.I.
The CatGenie Whoosh uses a Super Clumping, biodegradable litter that’s also water-soluble. This litter forms tight clumps for easy scooping and dissolves in water, allowing all pee clumps and poop to be flushed away cleanly. The CatGenie A.I. uses Reusable Washable Granules that are automatically washed, cleaned, and dried after each use—so your cat always steps into a clean box. Since the Granules are never disposed of, there's no litter to toss, making it a sustainable and long-term solution.
