Had the cat genie for a few months now, have had some issues, Sometimes doesn't scoop all poop out then when it dries it smells the whole house. and the granules doesn't last long. we are going through 1 box a month at least. but it does beat scooping a box. Maybe because I have 4 cats it doesn't do so well.

A box of Washable Granules lasts 5-6 months on average for 1 cat and 4-5 for 2 but will last considerably less with more cats and while it can work for more (as it does for you) we do not recommend it for that many 1-2 no more than 3 per unit. (Posted on 7/26/2012)

Absolutely love my cat genie! wish we could find a way to keep the granules from making it past the laundry room, but I still love it. The 3 pack is a great deal because not only are you saving money, you also have back up. (Posted on 5/30/2012)

The cat genie has been a real life saver. press a button and that is it. my husband and i would get into fight because of the litter box. i would say it his turn to scoop and he would tell me no it was mine. and with four cats i hated to do the litter box because scotty my youngest cat would wait for me to change it and then the moment i set it down he would use it. i love how simple and easy it is to use and the fact that it is biodegradable so it wont harm our septic tank. Amazing how those granules are washed an clean each time ! But it's true that it's necessary to replenish now and then the granules because some get lost while washing and other because my cat loves to scatter the granules arround !

Washable Granules work great they give my cat, "Monster", a substance to dig in and use to cover up his deposits. The granules are easily cleaned by the CatGenie. The granules are durable and if it wasn't for "Monster" kick them start out the front of the unit they would hardly ever need replacing.

I like to have extra Washable Granules on hand not only because "Monster" intentionally kicks the granules out the front of the unit, but because accidents do happen. Such as my (totally my bad, not CatGenie) spilling granules on the rare occasions when I had to move unit or my 100+ pound dog crashes into it (he is as clumsy as me).
