The granules certainly do what they are supposed to do. My kitten kicks, scratches, and digs--just like most do. And the granules serve that exact purpose. I have only two complaints. First, just like litter, they do get spread everywhere. I sweep up about a little less than a teaspoon every day. This wouldn't be a big deal, except that they are expensive to replace. Instead of throwing the kicked out granules away, I rinse them and thrown them back in, unless I'm short on time. My other complaint is that they stick to my kittens poop. Again, not a big deal, except that they are expensive to replace and I worry that they will clog my drain--no problems yet though. Customer service reps have assured me that sticking issue will get better once she transitions to adult food. So we will see. In the meantime, I delayed the cat activation to 30 minutes to give it time to harden up a little, which seems to help.
