One of my cats just loves to fling litter here and there. The dome keeps the litter in the bowl where it belongs.

I purchased this hoping that it would help keep down on the tracking of the litter. Which it did while I had it on, but....my larger boy won't use the catgenie with it on :( My 2 girls don't mind it at all and I'm really surprised that my boy won't use it due to prior to the catgenie they always had covered litter boxes. I had the Fresh Step Automatic Litter Box and I had no problems with any of them using them with the cover. But I think he feels clostraphobic in this one or something? He seems to fit fine in it, but for some reason he just don't like it. So I have to keep it off. Therefore I have the top & no use for it. I guess if I ever get a 2nd one, then I can use it on that one? Otherwise it does help with the tracking of the litter because they only have one way out, thru the front and it causes them to track a lot less litter. I would highly recommend this dome to anyone who's cat will allow it. It is a big help.

Never have I been so in awe or a product than this CatGenie. I discovered it last March (2011) on a friend's recommendation; it 's fabulous! I have 1 cat, 10 lbs, only took her 1 day to get used to it. I set it up in Master bathroom and flowing into the toilet but the toilet seat wouldn't close all the way down on the hose without flattening it. I moved it to my laundry room and it only took her 1/2 a day to get used to it. She likes to watch the cleaning cycle, especially the bowl rotate-just like in the commercial. She won't use Genie while the dome is on top, but...funny! She sleeps inside the dome if I put it on the carpeted floor while I'm doing laundry or ironing. We are both so happy with the purchase, I've recommended to everybody I know, and even those I just strike up a conversation with about cats. Don't know how I could do without it! PS: putting it on "CatActivation" really conserves the solution.

We got this along with the walls and our Cat Genie. It's a great tool. It can be kind of tricky to line up sometimes but it fits great and it stays on even with a spastic cat! He doesn't mind going inside it and he fits just fine. It also helps reduce some of the granules that may have otherwise been tossed out onto the floor. It was a great addition to our Cat Genie!!

My big guy is around 18 pounds and he fits in the dome just fine, though I think he did like it better without. Nevertheless, he still uses the Cat Genie no problem. This has cut down on the "litter flinging" so much! Even with the sidewalls, he was large enough to toss the pellets EVERYWHERE. With the dome, he has one way in and one way out, so the mat can catch what sticks to his paws. Don't order a Cat Genie without it if your kitty likes to toss litter!

We have a cat genie 120 and it has to be the best invention ever! If your cat doesn't have one... get them one! The customer service can't be compared to anyone else. If you love yourself... buy one for your cat. If you love your cat.. buy one for your home!

The dome makes all the difference. Really helps with keeping the little granules in the Cat Genie. Some of my cats are really kickers and this has cut down considerably. Also, my large, male, 15 year old cat who weighs 18 pounds can fit inside without any problem.

While the GenieDome may be a little on the pricey side, it helps keep a lot more granules in the CatGenie than the side-walls alone! It's kind of a shame where I have to put my CatGenie, there isn't room for the dome.

Took the cats about a day to get used to it. If your cats like to dig, this is a needed plus. My baby cat digs to China so this helps keep the granules in the bowl.
