Can the SaniSolution 60 Cartridge work in the CatGenie 120?
No. The CatGenie 60 can only use the green colored Cartridge. Unlike the 120, which holds from 120 to 240 washes, the 60 only holds enough cleaning solution for 60 washes. The 120 only works in the 120 Model; the 60 only works in the 60 Model.
How is the CatGenie 120 better than the CatGenie 60?
The 120 model has the benefit of improvements suggested by thousands of CatGenie owners. The 120 is greener, cleaner and more efficient. It also offers cat activation. The 120 Model uses the new, biodegradable and more economical 120 SaniSolution Cartridge. You buy ½ as many cleaning cartridges. And when you set it on cat activation, the cartridge doubles the amount of washes to 240.
How do I clean the CatGenie Self-Washing Cat Box?
The great benefit of the CatGenie is that it is the only cat box that actually washes and cleans itself. Like any appliance, it is a good idea to wipe the outside surfaces. The CatGenie 120 has a Maintenance Cartridge that you use a few times a year to remove lime and grime that could build up in hard to reach areas. The Water Sensor, a small, easy to reach part, works better if it is cleaned periodically with lemon juice or vinegar to remove any lime.
After a successful cleaning cycle, my CatGenie sounds a 3-beep error. What gives?
Chances are your Water Sensor needs to be cleaned. Check page 16 in your Green Owner’s Manual.
Sometimes hard water causes lime to cloud the Water Sensor so it can’t do its job. The CatGenie warns you when this happens. Wipe its tip clean and shiny with lemon juice or white vinegar. This should be done periodically.
